Hic odor sicut chloroform?

The motto of Esperance translates from the Latin as "Does this smell like chloroform?"

For those who don't spend their days considering how to quietly incapacitate people, chloroform is an organic compound that, if one spends some time breathing it, causes unconsciousness. Unlike the movies, it takes about 5 minutes to actually lose consciousness.

We consider the motto more about our general outlook on the world more than an actual expectation to instantly knock people out.

Esperance, in its current iteration, is not politically motivated. We try to avoid becoming embroiled in the politics of the game and are fairly aggressive in our independent line of thought. Essentially, our motto exists to provide a response when people get too political, or perhaps are simply acting out a bit.
